Avery's FIRST Birthday ....

Happy FIRST Birthday Avery Aaron Austin....
Avery was born at 3:53 PM June 27,2008
He weighed 3lbs 7oz.....Today he weighs a little over 18 lbs that's over 4 times his birth weight...since he has had feeding intolerances for a couple months...and has not gained much weight...this is still pretty darn good!!!

Devynn and mom painted the window for the celebration...what FUN!!!



See he really is the BOSS...his shirt says so!!!!





WOW...look at that cake...his nurse did a great job decorating it special for his Birthday and I used a Q-Tip and colored it orange for the candle...NO real candles in a hospital ...silly!!

My three SONS....each so different from each other, but filled with LOVE!




We may have had to spend Avery's Birthday in the "Resort"...but it's OK ..because we were ALL together!!.......OUR family....a True Gift from GOD!

Avery's BIRTHDAY---
Avery's night was much like it can be ....up early with seizures....and discomfort!
his feeds have been turned down ....and the team is still deciding on the correct dose of the new medication they are planning to start him on in the coming days... after they get clearance from his neurologist.After Avery's seizure fest....I think he noticed the BIG balloons I had attached to our bed....

He had almost vomited this morning and continued to have allot of gaging/ wreatching ...and much of the same behavior that has been going on....His vitals have still been up & down...and BP low at times. He has been on Tylenol every four hours ...for discomfort. Avery seemed to over all have a good day today, with some periods of smiling. Everyone that could have the cake all said it was good...Thank you Children's!!
It was nice to have his grandmothers here for this special day along with his uncles and his Aunt Kim.....We also had visits from his NICU nurse and transport team and some friends from the floor....I always enjoy seeing familiar faces!
